Childhood Memories

I just had one of those moments of insight where a memory from my early childhood returned to me. It's a fresh one too, not a memory I have previously recalled in my adult life. I must have been about seven years old when these events happenned to me, so... Year 3? Sounds right, we were up in what I later came to know as the 'kids' end of primary school.

What I remember most clearly is the absolute terror of trying to explain to my dad that my teacher was planning to massacre my entire class. Naturally, my dad was sceptical. However, my evidence for the planned slaughter was irrefutable.

You see, that day my teacher had excused herself fromt the class for a few moments while she met a strange, shabilly dressed man at the door. Some brief words were exchanged and my teacher took possesion of a large cardboard box. Intrigued by the exchange, I waited until my teacher wasn't about and investigated the box. Fear overtook me as I read the letters I knew oh-so-well from watching Road Runner and Bugs Bunny. T N T.
