Milan Pics


Some pics from my trip to Milan 19/8/1.

Sunday is not a good day to go to Italy. After wandering around for 90 minutes I eventually found a pizzeria that was open. I had a quattro formaggio which was slaightly better than average, but I've had better. The pizzeria had no cinotto, which was a huge disappointment. The cappuccino was also pretty ordinary.

After lunch I went to the 'Parco', and saw the arena, the castello and some old arch that looked a lot like Brandenburg Tor in Berlin. I found a nice spot in the park with the smell of marijuana in the breeze and sat there and chilled out. I walked back to the central station and took a couple of pictures of the old public baths on the way. The building had a big fence around it, and it didn't look like it had been used in 20 years. I wanted to break in and see the inside, but I had a train to catch.

At the station I found a café which did an outstanding cappuccino. Some Italian wino came up and introduced himself, but the waiter chucked him out. The beer there was pretty good too. The train home was overcrowded and late, and I discovered I'd left my spare laptop battery at home with the book I'm reading, so I was pretty bored, tired and uncomfortable. The only entertainment I had was playing 'fish' on my phone.

So much for going to Italy for lunch!
