Q: So you're in Scotland the brave? A: Aye. I've been in de-tox for a week; I'm staying with my grandma on the Isle of skye. It's not quite the middle of nowhere, that's "The Hebrides" but you can see The Hebrides from here. The village pub is actually open tonight, so I'll see how many varieties of scotch I can try... Q: How are the scots? A: The men are all politicians ad the women are all cows. Maybe I'm spoiled, but compared with the German women, the chicks here all look like some mutant cross between a buffalo and a sea lion. Chins like evil crones, and they still think that blue eyeshadow is in fashion. I walked into an electrical store in Inverness the other day and said: "Can I have an adaptor to plug an Australia appliance (my phone) into an English power point?" The Owner just stood there and glared at me. "Oh. I mean an Scottish power point." "Aye. Scottish power point, Scottish power, but we pay the bloody English for it!" Yeah, right, like I needed a lesson in local politics. Q: When are you going to answer my email? A: Next week. The holiday is over next week, and I start looking for work on Monday. Once I get myself organised with a net connecion in Monday I'll start responding to all those emails that I've let pile up. In the mean time, thankyou very much for all the comments on the pages. |
